Palmtop Cases – Clié 600 SERIES Model
Recently, I’ve had the opportunity to receive one of the
Palmtop Case Models for analyzing it. This case was sent directly from Spain to
Brazil and when I received it, I began a detailed analysis of this product, its
advantages and functions. The impressions about the case are shown below.
Logistics
The product was sent by post, it was packed in an
envelope, covered with bubble wrap and protected with a large amount of sticker
tapes in order to guarantee the
integrity of the case.
When
it arrived there wasn’t any kind of damage to the package or to the product,
there was bill of sale with it.
Package
At first sight, when I unwrapped the package was a surprise!! The box looks like a fine product giving the impression of a present. The case was wrapped in a pretty green paper.
Materials
The materials
that were used in the manufacturing of the case are of a superior quality. The
thin leather case presented no defects or damage. The same leather was used
inside of the case.
Inside the case
the leather presented the same quality in its resistance and is a little
thicker. As a protective cover there is a small foam layer inside and outside
of the case, showing a concern for its storage and security. In addition, it’s
hard enough to protect the Palmtop.
The Finished
Product
The
finished product is really extraordinary. Comparing various products of similar
quality none showed such fine quality: the leather was cut so precisely.
The
seams are totally lined up with the edges of the product, reflecting a careful
work. The people who are in charge of the manufacturing produce a quality
product.
The
aesthetics of the product gives a great impression. The case is not soft, on
the contrary it’s resistant.
Details
It’s
possible to use a cable with the palm. The palmtop didn’t fit the crandle, but
it’s not a problem because It’s easy to take off and put back on the case.
All
the buttons, specially for Sony Clie, the Jog Dial are easily reachable through
the small openings on the side of the case. These openings are sewn in a
careful way.
The other
important detail is the screen and the front buttons of the PDA, they are
totally available, without breaks that could make its use more difficult.
However, the resistant leather edge
surrounds the product giving it style.
Inside
the case tip, there are two openings where it’s possible to store 2 expansion
cards (Memory Stick, to the Sony Clié line model) and 3 openings for other kinds of cards (Phone cards,
Credit cards etc). There is, even, a place to put money and small objects.
Belt Clip
Buying this
product you receive a belt clip. It can be used to stick the case to the your
belt. This Clip is made with a hard plastic material and it’s available to be
used in many kinds of belts.
In the back of
the case there is a button. Pressing it you can remove the clip easily.
Security and Using
Tests
I’ve used the
case for a month and I prove its functions. Beyond a case, it can be used as a
great wallet, too.
The case
guarantee security and stability to the palmtop. During the using of the palmtop, it fell
down twice, from a height of 1/1,5 meters and the case protected the palmtop
against the any damage. It’s important to say that the manufacturer didn’t
express this advantage, but it’s was checked by the costumers.
In a other occasion, accidentely, a big and
heavy object was put on the palmtop, and the case protect it, even its screen
equipament had no defects or damages.
Conclusion
The
product has no points to be criticized. Tests and analysis proved that this case
is the best one which is available among other brands in the market and that
I’ve bought and used. The careful way which this product was made can be seen
by its details. All models from Piel Frama shows its quality. As a concluision:
